StrataGold Discovers Two New Zones at Tassawini, Guyana
Recent DDH results have identified a new gold zone approximately 250 msouth of the previously defined Tassawini Deposit. This zone was discovered bydrill testing an induced polarization (IP) geophysical target that wasunrelated to a gold soil anomaly. The second zone discovered by DD is at SonneSouth, in an area previously defined by reverse circulation (RC) drilling. DDsuccessfully intersected gold mineralization in both saprolite and bedrockrelated to a mineralized fault zone which is open in all directions.
During the past several months over 41 line kilometers of IP geophysicshas been completed at Tassawini and the adjacent Anaturi prospecting license.Systematic drilling of priority IP targets commenced this past month withtrenching, RC and DD.
New Discovery
An Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical survey identified a near-surfacechargeability anomaly located approximately 250 meters southwest from theTassawini West deposit. Drill hole SD365 tested this target and returned7.60 meters at an average grade if 2.20 g/t, while drill hole SD367intersected 16.50m at an average grade of 1.01 g/t. The true width appears tobe variable, ranging from 2m to 15m. This new zone continues to be drilltested along strike and at depth.

Preliminary DDH results from Sonne South confirmed gold mineralization insaprolite and bedrock associated with a mineralized fault zone delineated byreverse circulation drilling, ground geophysics, soil geochemistry andtrenching. Hole SD381 intersected 41.83m at 0.86 g/t gold in saprolite whilehole SD382 intersected 37.10m at an average grade of 1.06 g/t gold below drillhole SD382 in bedrock. This structure is open in all directions and ispresently being drill tested along strike and at depth.
Additional drilling at Sonne South was carried out in three differentareas and tested the bedrock to approximately 70m vertical depth. The programwas designed to follow up on shallow reverse circulation drill intersectionsand has confirmed a saprolite deposit near surface. The mineralizationintersected is in moderately to gently dipping bodies ranging between 5 and35m in true thickness. SD377, a vertical hole which intersected 29.8maveraging 0.93g/t gold, terminated in mineralization. This hole has since beenre-entered and lengthened.

Tassawini West
Ten (10) additional DDH's were completed at Tassawini West. SD319 wasdrilled to confirm the geometry of a high grade mineralized core zone plungingto the southwest within the main mineralized zone and intersected 22.50maveraging 5.07 g/t gold. This drill hole was drilled oblique to the strike ofmineralization and was oriented across the true plunge of mineralization. Thetrue thickness of the mineralization in this part of the deposit is estimatedto be 15 meters. Tassawini West continues to demonstrate the presence of ahigher grade mineralized core.
SD343, 346 and 349 were drilled 150m northeast of Tassawini West withhole SD346 intersecting 1.06 g/t gold over 15.60m. Additional drilling isrequired to determine the significance of these results.

Drilling at Sonne North was carried out to test mineralization in bedrockto approximately 70m vertical depth. The program was designed to follow upwidespread reverse circulation drill intersections and has confirmed a nearsurface saprolite deposit. The mineralization intersected is generally in flatto gently dipping bodies ranging between 5 and 20m in true thickness. Resultsfrom three holes are pending.

Assays are also pending for an additional 15 DD holes drilled on other IPtargets delineated within the Tassawini and Kathmandu areas.

Quality Control and Assurance
A rigorous Quality Control and Assurance program (QC/QA) is in place, using control samples and duplicates, as well as Chain of Custody (COC)protocols, under the supervision of Bill Yeomans, P.Geo., StrataGold's GeneralManager Exploration, South America. Tamperproof sample bags with zip lock tagsare being utilized for all of the drill samples. The Tassawini samples wereprepared by ACME laboratories in Georgetown, Guyana, and analysed by ACMElaboratories in Santiago, Chile. ACME laboratories is a recognized as an ISO9000 registered laboratory. The control samples and duplicate assay resultsreceived for the drilling program demonstrated to StrataGold that the resultsare considered reliable. However, due to the rigorous nature of StrataGold'sQC/QA program, additional check assays will be conducted and these resultspending. All diamond drill holes are being processed an ISO 9000 registeredlaboratory. The technical information in this news release has been preparedin accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in NationalInstrument 43-101. Mr. Bill Yeomans is designated as the qualified personhaving reviewed this information.
