TORONTO, ONTARIO--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 12, 2007 -- Glenn O'Gorman, P. Eng., President of Duran Ventures Inc.(CDNX: - ), and David A. Bending, P.Geo., VP Explorationof Duran, both Qualified Persons as defined in NationalPolicy 43-101, are pleased to report the results from Hole3 of the 2007 Phase 1 diamond drilling program at the AguilaCu-Mo Project, Ancash, Peru. Duran is earning a 50% interestin the 1,100 hectare Aguila Project from MacMillan GoldCorp. (CDNX: - ) (News Release December 18, 2006).

Three holes in the Aguila Cu-Mo Target and two holes inthe Aguila East Cu-Mo Target have been completed and additionalresults will be forthcoming. Holes 1 through 5 were drilledwithin the mineralized Aguila porphyry body as part of asystematic northeast-southwest section across both the Aguilaand Aguila East Cu-Mo Targets. The results of Holes 1 and2 are documented in Duran's September 6, 2007 News Release.

Hole 3 was drilled in a southwesterly direction, 50 metreseast of the collar of Hole 1 along a section parallel tothat of Hole 1. The hole was drilled to test the AguilaPorphyry and the mineralized transition zone, penetratingthe contact at a depth of 399 metres and terminating inthe mineralized transition zone at a depth of 510 metres. This drill hole averaged 0.525% Cu and 0.043% Mo acrossits entire length of 510 metres. The diorite porphyry interval, from the collar to 399 metres, averaged 0.635% Cu and 0.045%Mo. The remainder of Hole 3 traversed mineralized quartziteand argillite averaging 0.128% Cu and 0.035% Mo over 111metres including the 51 metres which averaged 0.136% Cuand 0.054% Mo from 399 metres to 450 metres. Duran's explorationteam is very pleased with the confirmation of copper andmolybdenum values in the Aguila porphyry with values continuinginto the west contact zone. The impact of this new informationon potential future open pit designs may be very significant.

Holes 4 and 5 were collared to the northeast of Hole 3 anddrilled along an azimuth of 45 degrees with dips of -45degrees and -50 degrees respectively along a common sectionparallel to those of Holes 1, 2 and 3. These holes weredrilled to test the sedimentary rocks and porphyry stockof the Aguila East Cu-Mo Target. The holes were spaced about50 metres apart and located approximately 150 and 200 metresnortheast of Hole 3. Both holes intersected quartzite andporphyry containing copper and molybdenum bearing zones.Holes 4 and 5 were terminated in mineralized porphyry atdepths of 372 metres and 401 metres respectively due tolimitations of the drill rig. The core has been logged andsampled, with results pending at this time. Deepening ofthese holes is planned as part of Phase 2 pending an evaluationof all the assays once received.

The exploration work as reported has been planned and isbeing supervised by Mr. Bending. All samples will be deliveredto the Lima laboratory of Inspectorate Services Peru SAC(a certified lab) for preparation and multi-element ICPanalysis followed by AQR/AA assaying for Cu and Mo. Thecompany has a strong QA/QC protocol in place including theuse of certified standards and blanks and secure care andcustody of samples.
