DuPont Announces 11 Percent Dividend Increase

The dividend will increase from $0.37 to $0.41 per share for fourthquarter common stock, payable Dec. 14, to stockholders of record Nov. 15.This is the 413th consecutive quarterly dividend since the company's firstdividend in the fourth quarter of 1904.

"DuPont's financial strength has enabled the company to invest incompelling growth opportunities, while continuing to reward our shareholders,"DuPont Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey L. Keefersaid. "This dividend increase underscores our confidence in delivering bothearnings growth and cash generation for our shareholders."

Regular quarterly dividends of $1.12-1/2 per share on the $4.50 seriespreferred stock and 87-1/2 cents per share on the $3.50 series preferred stockalso were declared, both payable Jan. 25, 2008, to stockholders of record Jan.10, 2008.
