IBD eTables Gives You The Power To Uncover Winners Fast
Thankfully, you can speed things up by using IBD eTables to find market winners -- without getting your forearms and fingers dirty.
How It Works
IBD eTables is the electronic version of the Nasdaq, NYSE and AMEX tables.
This is the online version of the alphabetized tables in the paper. Because it's an electronic tool, it offers versatility and multiple ways to study the tables.
The lists can be arranged in any way you choose to look for stock ideas.
ETables also features the components of IBD's four proprietary indexes: the IBD 100, New America, 85/85 Weekly Review and Big Cap 20.
The service is a premium product that's available for $13.95 a month or $139 a year. The data is updated at about 6:30 p.m. Eastern time each day.
From the Premium Tools section on Investors.com, click on the IBD eTables link. Once inside, the page defaults to the IBD 100. It displays all data shown in IBD, plus other information not found in print.
You can navigate to other indexes or exchanges by clicking on different tabs.
On the upper-right side, you can see how the IBD 100 has fared against the S&P 500 since inception and on a 12-month basis. This is also found for the New America and 85/85 Weekly Review indexes.
Just below, you'll find the latest profiles, briefings and daily stock analyses on a number of IBD 100 components.
The next table below is the heart of the eTables. Here you'll find the stocks that make up each of the indexes each week, as well as vital fundamental and technical data.
IBD ratings, the stock's 52-week high, volume percentage change for the day and other data are shown.
Use the pulldown menu to sort the table to your liking. There are 24 different fields to choose from.
With the third-quarter earnings season upon us, make sure you glance at the footnote column.
A "k" means earnings are due out shortly. A legend at the bottom of each page explains other codes.
Click on the View IBD 100 Index Expanded Stock Data, a link inside a red strip, to get additional fundamental data.
The biggest winners will show big increases in profit growth. You'll find the firm's annual and quarterly earnings growth rates here, as well as estimates for the coming quarter.
There are even more tools.
The check mark icon will take you to the IBD Stock Checkup. Use this to see how a stock stacks up against its peers.
Always look at a chart to see if a stock is shaping a proper base or is near a buy point before you pull the trigger. You can click on the chart icon to get an IBD Chart. (A Daily Graphs chart will appear if you subscribe to Daily Graphs Online.)
Once you find something you like, you can set price and volume alerts in real time with IBD Alerts Plus (the bell icon). The alerts require a separate subscription.
The last two icons allow you to pull up archived articles and add a stock to your watch list.
