Investor's Quiz: Often You Must Prioritize Buy, Sell Signals
The company is a leader within one of IBD's leisure-related groups.
At the time, it had mixed ratings: Earnings Per Share 75, Relative Strength 84, Accumulation/Distribution C+, Group Rating C-.
After losing money for three straight years, the firm turned a profit of a penny a share in 2004. Then it made 20 cents a share and 44 cents in the next two years.
Profit growth for the two quarters prior to the last date shown in the chart was huge: 563% and 2,133%.
Technicals looked promising. The stock cleared a base-on-base pattern during the week ended Nov. 10, 2006. It gapped higher the next week and advanced 55% by early February.
After that, it consolidated gains and shaped what looked like a six-month, double-bottom pattern with a possible buy point 20 108.08.
While the market was turning lower in late July, the stock held its ground on above-average volume. What would you do?
