UAW reaches tentative deal with Chrysler

"This agreement was made possible because UAW workers made it clear to Chrysler that we needed an agreement that rewards the contributions they have made to the success of this company," said Gettelfinger.
The union went on strike against Chrysler at 11:00 this morning, following the expiration of the current labor agreement. The strike will be recessed immediately, according to a statement from the union.
UAW Chrysler workers will be instructed to report to work on the next available shift.
