This Site:en.yinlu.net Source:en.yinlu.net Writer: Time:2007-11-21
With concerns over a slowing economy, is it any wonder that stocks like Kellogg (NYSE: - ) and Clorox (NYSE: - ) find themselves at the top of our list of stocks with upgrades in their PowerRatings (for Investors)?

Every day at PowerRatings.net we list stocks that have seen their ratings increase from the previous trading day. Sometimes these upgrades are sizable, with stocks that had been low-rated ("in the red") jumping into the mid-range ("in the blue") or even into the ranks of the "in the green" high PowerRatings stocks that investors should study and choose from.

But sometimes the moves are more subtle, bringing to the top those stocks that have steadily become more attractive. Both Kellogg and Clorox fall into this group.

Kellogg and Clorox have earned PowerRatings (for Investors) ratings of 9. According to our research going back to 1995, stocks with PowerRatings of 9 have been higher 81% of the time a year later. Moreoever, these stocks have gained, on average, more than 20% in a year's time.

This compares well with the average stock, which has gone up by 12.81% after a year.

This industry includes such stocks as Del Monte Foods (NYSE: - ) with a PowerRating of 10, ConAgra (NYSE: - ) with a PowerRating of 9, and Pepsico (NYSE: - ) also with a PowerRating of 9. Kellogg has seen its PowerRating climb from 8 to 9 as of this morning's open.

Kellogg makes and markets a variety of well-known "ready-to-eat" cereals and convenience foods such as Special K, Pop Tarts and Froot Loops. Kellogg's products are manufactured worldwide and are marketed in more than 180 countries.
