Forest Oil SVP Exercises Options

NEW YORK (AP) -- The senior vice president of worldwide drilling for natural gas and crude oil producer Forest Oil Corp. exercised options for 17,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Tuesday, Cecil N. Colwell reported he exercised the options Friday for $20.02 apiece and then sold 19,823 shares on the same day for $49.74 to $50.12 apiece.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Forest Oil is based in Denver, Colo.
