WASHINGTON (AP) -- Bank of America Inc. spent $1.4 million lobbying the federal government in the first half of 2007, according to a disclosure form.

The company lobbied on dozens of bills moving through Congress, including legislation to tighten restrictions on mortgage lending to home buyers with weak credit.
