Home Depot to Buy Back Shares

The $10.7 billion repurchase accounts for about 15 percent of shares outstanding as of Aug. 31.
Home Depot initially offered to repurchase up to 250 million shares, but under the terms of the offer has elected to purchase an additional 39.6 million tendered.
The actual number of shares repurchased and the price will be finalized after the completion of the confirmation process.
Shares of Home Depot fell $1.34, or 3.5 percent, to $36.97 in premarket trading. Shares have traded between $31.85 and $42.01 during the past year.
