Ahead of the Bell: PeopleSupport

NEW YORK (AP) -- A JMP Securities analyst downgraded PeopleSupport Inc. on Tuesday, saying the outsourcer is at risk of losing business from two of its biggest customers.

Analyst David M. Scharf cut PeopleSupport to "Market Outperform" from "Market Perform."

He said he believes the Los Angeles-based company is in danger of losing contracts with Washington Mutual Inc. and EarthLink Inc. Those two clients along with Expedia Inc. account for more than two-fifths of PeopleSupport's $110.1 million in annual revenue.

Scharf said PeopleSupport appears to have already lost one EarthLink contract in late May. Washington Mutual is ramping up its own outsourcing business.
