BEA Systems Confirms Deadline Extension

The previous deadline of Nov. 26 still applies to stockholder proposals submitted for inclusion in the company's proxy materials for the annual meeting, scheduled for Feb. 14, BEA said.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company announced the deadline extension last week in a press release reporting its third-quarter results but said questions regarding the statement prompted it to confirm.
BEA shares rose 12 cents to $15.31 in morning trading.
